Hi! I’m Maura Dempsey (she/they), a New York City-based actor, singer, and dancer. I graduated from Marymount Manhattan College in May of 2025 with a BFA in Musical Theatre and a minor in Arts Management.

Over the past four years, I’ve performed in a wide range of productions at Marymount and some of NYC’s most iconic venues, including Green Room 42, 54 Below, and Time Square's Ellen’s Stardust Diner—where I can be found most nights singing for tourists between serving dinner and shakes. As well as making my Off-Broadway debut in 2024! 

 

When I’m not performing, I find my daily joy in painting, crocheting, making lunch with my roommates, calling my mom, looking for a dog to pet in Central Park, or eating a bagel at a truly concerning hour. 

 

I'm drawn to stories that make people laugh, feel deeply, and see the world a little differently—and I'm especially passionate about making art through collaboration, positivity, queerness, and just being weird!
