Hi! I’m Maura Dempsey (she/they), a New York City-based actor, singer, dancer, and licensed silly little guy. I’m graduating from Marymount Manhattan College in May of 2025 with a BFA in Musical Theatre and a minor in Arts Management.

Over the past four years, I’ve performed in a wide range of productions at Marymount and some of NYC’s most iconic venues, including Green Room 42, 54 Below, and Time Square's Ellen’s Stardust Diner—where I can be found most nights singing for tourists between serving mozzarella triangles. Offstage, you can find me painting, crocheting, people-watching in Central Park, or eating a bagel at a truly concerning hour. 

 

I'm drawn to stories that make people laugh, feel deeply, and see the world a little differently—and I'm especially passionate about making that kind of art through collaboration, queerness, and joy.
